OUR VALUES

OUR METHODOLOGY

Curamericas Guatemala uses a proven community-based model to provide maternal and child health care in remote Indigenous communities. This includes: (1) collecting and using local data through home visits and community mapping to guide health priorities and measure impact; (2) organizing women's groups that train local mothers to teach their neighbors about healthy practices and female empowerment; and (3) operating community-built Rural Maternity Homes staffed by trained, bilingual health personnel who provide respectful and culturally appropriate care 24/7.
